Originally released as Frogger by CGL and Coleco three decades ago, this game was a staple in many households before the rise of home computers and consoles.

Frogger is widely recognized and requires little introduction. This particular version features a VFD display, an earlier alternative to LED technology. The brighter and more vivid visuals set it apart from later LCD games, evoking nostalgia for an era when companies like Grandstand, Tomy, Entex, CGL, Tandy, Bandai, and Epoch led the market with such devices.

The app serves as a faithful emulation of the original device, showcasing accurate sound design, graphics, and gameplay mechanics. Users can view screenshots that display the app in action alongside original box artwork, highlighting the attention to detail present within this recreation. Notably, while game modes A and B from the original have been streamlined into a single mode that transitions automatically, other elements have been preserved to ensure an authentic experience. It can be noted that this adaptation is approximately 95% true to its predecessor.

The objective remains straightforward: guide the frogs safely home while avoiding vehicles and utilizing logs and turtles for assistance. With only three lives available, players must navigate carefully to achieve the highest score possible.
